Oil & Gas Sector

Your Oil & Gas Manufacturing Partner

The oil and gas industry operates in some of the most unforgiving environments on the planet. From the corrosive effects of seawater to the high-pressure dynamics of deep drilling, equipment failure is not an option. At Johnson Enterprises, we’ve spent over 40 years working closely with energy producers and equipment manufacturers to build components that don’t just meet standards—they exceed them.

Our deep experience in offshore, subsea, and land-based oilfield systems gives us the insight and capabilities to manufacture parts that operate under extreme stress and harsh conditions. Whether you're outfitting a platform support vessel, a launch and recovery system (LARS), or a land rig for shale exploration, our team brings proven expertise, rapid production capabilities, and certified quality processes to every project.

Our Expertise in Mining Equipment

Full-Process Manufacturing and Inspection

At the heart of our oil & gas service offering is a vertically integrated manufacturing process. From raw stock to final inspection, every step is carried out at our Val-d’Amour, NB facility under strict ISO 9001:2015 protocols. We machine critical components such as cylinders, glands, pins, winch housings, and sheaves (up to 69 inches in diameter), as well as complex assemblies like guide base units (TGB and PGB), piston systems, and gripper arms used on offshore platforms.

But manufacturing is only part of the equation. Our real added value lies in the complete traceability we provide. Every component we deliver is backed by a binder-quality documentation package, including material test reports (MTRs), dimensional inspection sheets, heat treatment charts, surface coating certifications, and certificates of conformance. Our quality control process also accommodates third-party inspections and DNV compliance whenever required.

Some Oil & Gas Parts we Produce

Specialized Knowledge in Offshore Materials and Certifications

In the oil and gas industry, materials are as important as machining. We regularly work with offshore-grade alloys, including corrosion-resistant stainless steels, high-strength carbon steels, and specialty nickel alloys. Many of our projects require materials that pass Charpy impact tests, and we are highly familiar with DNV, ABS, and client-specific certifications for welding, coatings, and dimensions.

Our team is trained to review and execute engineered drawings with precision, whether they come from an EPC contractor, a valve manufacturer, or an offshore asset owner. We also offer reverse engineering services for legacy parts that may no longer be in production. With in-house CAD modeling and a full inspection suite, we replicate exact dimensions and surface properties to ensure interchangeability and safety.

Real-World Applications and Projects

Our components are actively used in launch and recovery systems, offshore cranes, deck winches, drilling riser systems, and flow control assemblies. We’ve worked on everything from piston-driven subassemblies for deepwater pumps to robust sheave blocks mounted on dynamic positioning vessels. Our expertise extends to the assembly of gripper arms and guiding mechanisms used in riser handling and pipe deployment operations.

Each of these systems relies on parts that must be manufactured to exact tolerances, with coatings that resist both mechanical wear and saline corrosion. Our facility is equipped with high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF), robotic PTA welding, and Jet Kote cold spray systems—allowing us to select the right process for each component’s working conditions and lifespan requirements.

Let’s build something powerful together.
